Artur (Arthur) Ernst EWERT, aliases ARSCH, BLONE, KOERNER, KURBATEFF, Georg KELLER, Harry BERGER: German. A prominent member of the German Communist Party, EWERT was a member of the Reichstag in the early 1930s but with the rise of Hitler he moved to become head of the Comintern's bureau successively in China and South America. Arrested in Brazil in 1936, he was tried and imprisoned; released in 1945, he was repatriated to Germany in 1947
