Guenter STRACKE, aliases STARKE, STRACKER, STACKE: German. Employed by the Abwehr as a crew-member in Operation MERCATOR, the delivery of agents to South America and Southern Africa by a small sailing vessel known variously as 'Passim', 'Santa Maria', 'Santa Barbara', 'Alouette' and 'Ginette', STRACKE was captured in 1945 attempting to run a cargo of butter into Dunkirk. Other members of the crew included in the file are Robert DORENDAHL, Heinrich GADEN and Wilhelm DIDZOLEIT
