Trustee Savings Banks Year Books are issued by the Trustee Savings Banks Association which was formed on 20 February 1887 'to watch over and protect the interests of Savings Banks depositors and to provide the means of affording the help of advice and co-operation in matters of a general character in which Savings Banks or their depositors may be interested.'
The Association was incorporated under the Companies Acts in June 1928, as a Company Limited by guarantee. The business of the Association is conducted by an Executive Committee which is elected annually, and has certain statutory duties to perform which are laid down in the Trustee Savings Banks Act 1954.
