By letters patent under the great seal 6 Jul 2 Edw VI [1548], the lease of the manor of Shipton, Shropshire, parcel of the possessions of the late priory of Wenlocke [Much Wenlock Priory], Shropshire, 3 messuages, of which one is called Crosfeld, a cottage, and all lands, etc., in Shipton, Holgate [Holdgate], Longstaunton [Long Stanton], Morehouse [in Shipton], Carden [Cardington], Brocketon [Brockton in Shipton], Weston [in Monkhopton], Hopton [Monkhopton], and Monkall [Monkhall in Monkhopton], Shropshire, granted to Thomas Palmere, for 31 years, at £24 15s 6d a year.
