Description

Letters patent granting licence to (1) Edward Fynes, lord Clinton and Saye, and great admiral of England, to alienate to (2) Richard Sakevyle, kt, and Winifred, his wife: various properties.

The manor and park of Whitley [Witley], Surrey, (parcel of the possessions of Jasper [Tudor], duke of Bedford), and the manor and parks of Clypston [Clipston], Nottinghamshire, (parcel of the same); the manor of Sampford Courteney [Sampford Courtney], Devonshire, (parcel of the possessions of Henry [Courtenay], late marquess of Exeter, attainted); the manor of Hangyng Grymston [Hanging Grimston in Kirby Underdale], Yorkshire, (late of the monastery of St. Mary nigh the walls of the city of York [St. Mary's Abbey]); the site of the monastery of Barkyng [Barking Abbey], Essex, etc., a meadow called Gunnesmeade, otherwise Conventmeade (6 acres), a meadow called Graunge meade (16 acres), pasture called Huntynges (16 acres), pasture called Warpehawes (6 acres), a parcel of land called Vyngarde (5 acres), and a parcel of land called le Grove (8 acres), in Barlyng [Barling], Essex, and all messuages, etc., in Witley, Clipston, Sampford Courtney, Barbe and Norwod, Devon, and Hanging Grimston in Kirkehunsdale [Kirby Underdale], Yorkshire
