Dorothy Victoria Anne WOODMAN, alias KINGSLEY-MARTIN: British. Active from 1930 in several left-wing causes through her position as Secretary of the Union of Democratic Control, WOODMAN was well-connected on the left of British politics both through her own contacts and those of her partner Basil KINGSLEY-MARTIN. She was suspected of having acted at least as a talent-spotter for Soviet Intelligence. She later turned her attention to the politics of Asia, particularly Indonesia, China, Burma and India
