Mr Fletcher's Registers of Bombes. The 'Bombe', a name possibly given by the Poles, who produced the first ENIGMA code-breaking machine, was developed by Alan Turing and others to break ENIGMA daily keys. 3 and 4 wheel machines were manufactured by the British Tabulating Machine Company, Letchworth. The 'W.W.' was a high speed Bombe with 'Cobra' attachment (4 wheel modification) named after its inventor, C E Wynn-Williams of Telecommunications Research Establishment, Malvern
