Description

Reginald KRAY, Ronald KRAY and others: murder of Frank ('Axeman') MITCHELL on 23 December 1966 at London, E6, and other offences. Not guilty of murder; convicted of some other offences.

AND

KRAY, Ronald; KRAY, Reginald; BENDER, Ronald; and others: murder of Jack McVITIE on 29 October 1967 at London, N16; and murder of George CORNELL on 9 March 1966 at The Blind Beggar public house, London, E1, and other offences. All convicted of various offences including murder.

Transcripts part 1: Day 1 (7 January 1969) to Day 10 (21 January 1969). Also includes a notebook (an index to the transcript/s). The transcripts for Day 1 includes (from page 1) the indictments for the 4 counts in the Mitchell case, and later (from page 33) the indictments for the 4 counts in the McVitie/Cornell cases; Day 1 also includes (from page 42) the conviction in the Mitchell case of John DICKSON following a guilty plea. Day 2 onwards then re-starts with the submissions for the McVitie/Cornell cases which then continue for the rest of the trial transcripts in pieces 4517-4520.

PLEASE NOTE: When transferred, this piece was allocated within the run DPP 2/4510-4532 for the MITCHELL case (2468/68) and was catalogued as such. The contents, however, are as now described (amended in February 2017).
