John Wilson Croker. Directions have been given to the Admirals at Portsmouth, Plymouth and Chatham to receive one third of the 140 boys reduced from the Ordinaries at the several ports, who were willing to enter the Navy. As we now understand from the Commissioner at Plymouth to Admiral the Earl of Northisk, that only one third of the 52 boys disposable at Plymouth are to be received on board the St Vincent, ask for further directions about the future of the remaining two thirds.
