Description

John Wilson Croker. Officers of the several dockyards have been directed to discharge 287 Shipwrights next Saturday evening, who from want of character and abilities, or the time they have lost, should not be retained. Similar selections are being made from other Artificers and Labourers. Meantime we suggest a reduction in hours as a preferable measure. Names of a number of Artificers and Labourers will shortly be submitted for superannuation.
