Description

John Wilson Croker. The house purchased for the residence of the Commander-in-Chief at Trincomalee, Rear Admiral Sir Richard King, is in much need of repair and he has asked for it be made fit for his reception. Recommend building a new house rather than doing the repairs. We have no means of assessing the relative expenditure involved in building works in that country.
