Draft letter to the Navy Board. The Royal Naval College has been established on a new plan, according to which the sons of noblemen, gentlemen, civil and military Officers may be admitted on payment of £72 a year each or £8 per calendar month for any broken period. Am sending a paragraph intended for insertion in the Instructions to the Lieutenant Governor of the College. If you see no objection, the Lieutenant Governor will be directed to send to your London office and to the Pay Branch at Portsmouth, the name and date of entry of each individual student to be admitted to the College, his class and who will be required to pay for his education.
