Copy of the opinion of the Attorney, Solicitor General and the Counsel of the Admiralty on the validity of the Will of Richard Sharpe, late of HM ship Hussar, who died a prisoner of war in France, where the will was executed. Gives the provisions of Statutes, but they do not provide for particular circumstances. Opine that the Treasurer will not be justified in paying, when the authority of a Will is attested other than In the terms of the Act. Suggest an opinion is sought of the Court of Kings Bench on a special case, and to consider whether it is necessary to pass an Act of Parliament to give validity to wills made under such circumstances.
