Description

Commissioner William Shield, Cape of Good Hope. Repairs carried out to the residence of the Commander in Chief. Has directed the storekeeper to ask Mr Jones to provide a sufficient quantity of wood for building a mast house with sail loft and for one of the double storehouses at Simons Town. Have obtained 10 black men as labourers, from the cargo of a slave ship, lately condemned in the Vice Admiralty Court.
