Evan Nepean. Are sending an estimate of the cost of wages, victuals and wear and tear of 120,000 men, including 22,696 Marines, to serve in the Fleet for two lunar months commencing 1 January 1800 for the sum of £265,000, which includes the transport and maintenance of prisoners of war and £13,000 for sick prisoners. Are also giving the opinion of the Commissioners of Victualling on the distribution of victuals at each of the ports of London, Portsmouth, Plymouth and Dover.
