Commissioner J N Inglefield, Gibraltar to Mr Nelson, the Board. Has heard that a quantity of fir timber was supplied to Mr Boschetti, the contractor for building the cable and cordage store, by the Ordnance Department. Major Fyers the Commanding Engineer, says the Naval department is responsible for the timber. Mr Hodson, writing to Major Fyers says he expects timber from England and he told me he expects Mr Boschetti to replace it. Mr Hodson has no proof the timber was shipped. It appears improbable that Mr Boschetti has any timber expected from England. Propose the timber received from the Ordnance is valued and charged to Mr Boschetti.
