Description

Copy letter from the Sheerness Officers, reporting that there are 8 flat boats in store, 2 row gallies built to Sir H Popham's design, one to carry a 24- pounder gun, the other a 68- pounder carronade, 2 Gibraltar gun boats with 68-pounder carronades and a row boat built on the plan of Sir Charles Knowles with 32-pounder carronades.
