- Folio 121. Letter from William Powell, Clerk to the Guardians of the Newport Pagnell Poor Law Union to the Poor Law Commission, headed 'Emigration Agent'. The guardians of the Newport Pagnell Union have no objection to the issue of the necessary certificate to Messrs John Marshall and Company to enable them to obtain payment of the emigration expenses of poor persons sent to Canada from the parish of Hanslope. Annotated: that the certificate was sent on 10 November 1847. Paper Number: 16458/A/1847.
