Folios 104-105. Letter from William Powell, Clerk to the Guardians of the Newport Pagnell Poor Law Union to the Poor Law Commission headed 'Relieving Officers Salaries'. He advises that the guardians have fixed the salary of Mr Hogg, Relieving Officer for the parish of Newport Pagnell at £15. They have also resolved to increase the salary of Thomas Chew, Relieving Officer from £100 to £115 a year in consequence of his long and efficient service. The guardians have voted to Mr Morris, Relieving Officer the sum of £10 in addition to his salary for the present year, but refused to make this permanent. Paper Number: 13274/A/1847.
