Anthony Munton, Antigua. The negroes working at the Yard, include one by the name of Binningham, borne on the books as a Labourer, belonging to the estate of the late Mr. Barkham, Storekeeper, who has constantly worked in the boats and is very useful. He describes his first encounter with this person. Has had frequent applications from Mrs. Clarissa Murphy, to remit the wages due to this person but did not know her legal entitlement. The account was sent to his friend, John Read of Old Jewry, who informed him Mr. Jackson, the late Deputy Secretary to the Admiralty was executor to the will of the late Mr. Barkham and had given a receipt. Has sent his wages to the end of March. Not having been authorized to act in this business, has been guided by principles of common benevolence and has not made a demand against the estate for Doctor's charges or necessaries supplied to the negro and asks for sanction
