Philip Stephens. Mr. Amsinch has claimed the detention and repair of the Liefde ship at Liverpool. We proposed to pay detention to the 29th March, when the regulating Captain told the Master he was no longer detained, which is usual practice. He claimed until 26th June on the pretence he was not informed. His claim has no solid basis. If he was damaged during capture we agree his claim for repair but the claim made has not differentiated between capture and other causes up to re-storing last month.
