Description

William Marsden. Messrs. Palmer, Gambier and Hartnoll of the Navy Board, complain about the way in which Swedish ships and stores were detained by the Squadron under the orders of Captain Lawford of the Romney and were brought into Margate Road in September 1798. There were also Naval stores detained by the Busy sloop and brought into the Downs. The disposal of stores has still not been settled and George Gostling, the Admiralty proctor, is now involved.
