William Marsden. Captain John Whitby has asked for dispensation for passing an account for the Glory. The records show that he was entered as acting Captain in August 1804 and this is open in the last muster book received. If he produces a certificate from the proper Captain of his having delivered into his possession the necessary books and papers to enable him to pass the account for the time he acted and meets other requirements, he may be paid for the time.
