William Marsden. Mr. Bucknall has sent papers relating to the prosecution of the Pursers concerned with making false musters on the Spider armed brig. We do not consider the matter for a criminal prosecution and recommend it should be dropped. However, as it appears from the deposition, several men have been mustered who were never intended to go to sea in her. The owners of the vessel according to contract if of all those men, who were not on board when she came into harbor and stop the pay of the vessel from the day she went into harbor until the day she left.
