Description

William Marsden. There are sufficient stocks of fir timber in some of the dockyards to build 6 frigates and have already approached the dockyard staff to inform whether they could be built without disrupting other work. We are advised that they could undertake the new work without adverse effects. The Deptford and Woolwich yards could build 2 frigates each and Chatham and Portsmouth 1 each.
