Petition from the Plymouth Shipwrights. The new method of working should be implemented but they feel they will earn less than those in the eastern yards, because there is a greater number of boys at Plymouth. Although they will earn extra pay, they will earn less under the new system, because of the deductions to subsidize the boys. They complain of the late payment of money received at Plymouth, which means they have to pay interest for longer on loans..
