Mr. Jackson reports that on returning from the Isle of Wight after carrying out Sir Charles Saxton's orders of 23rd March, respecting the fitting out of 10 course passage boats, he received a warranty with a copy of Captain O'Brien's letter on the Sea Fencibles at Gosport. This dealt with the passage vessels offered by their owners for Naval Service; Trimmer, H. Haskell, Master, James and Jane, J. Mayfield, Kingfisher, R. Braggs, New Friends, J. Haskell and Thomas and Elizabeth, D. Moore. He has surveyed five of them and they are capable of Naval Service, each having 2 18-pounder carronades.
