William Marsden. Commissioner Coffin says that during the winter the head rails of the frigates Aimable and Clyde have been washed away and the curved replacements are difficult to fit. He proposes that in future all such replacements should be straight, and that ships now being built and to be built, should be treated the same way. There is no objection to the treatment given the Aimable and Clyde but do not recommend its use for repaired or new ships.
