Description

William Marsden. Lachlan McLean, Purser of the Sampson has asked to be paid. He was Purser of the Sampson from November 1797 and was paid off in November 1799. He was given leave until September 1800 and although John Cockell was employed as deputy Purser from January 1798 to September 1800, he was never on the pay book for wages and Mr. McLean should be paid for the period 1799 to 1800.
