Evan Nepean. Lieutenant Stephen Marsh has petitioned to be paid for the time he acted as Lieutenant of the Active armed sloop. He was discharged from the Active and re-appointed when a vacancy arose in January 1802. They assume that his appointments to the Joseph cutter and the Caesar were made with Admiralty approval. Recommend he should receive half pay during the interim period.
