Description

Evan Nepean. The agent for Thomas Durant has asked for payment for the time he acted as Boatswain on the Driver sloop. He was on the books as a Cook from September 1798 until May 1801. When he was made acting Boatswain until January 1802, when he reverted to Cook and was discharged and paid off in February 1803. Recommend that as there was a permanent vacancy for a Boatswain in 1801-2 Durant should be paid.
