Folios 424-425. Letter from Thomas Parker at Rochester [Kent] reporting that the magistrates had finished examining witnesses on the informations against Lewis Thomas and Chesnaye. Thomas had been arrested and bailed to appear for trial at the next Maidstone Quarter Sessions. Parker summarises the evidence against Chesnaye, stating that the magistrates had not yet issued a warrant for his arrest but stood ready to do it once advised that the evidence was sufficient for a conviction.
