Description

Copy letter from Captain Richard Matson of Daphne complaining that when he landed at Sheerness Yard to attend a court martial yesterday, his Coxswain was prevented from accompanying him through the dockyard gate to the amusement of the artificers who witnessed his indignity, and protesting that this prohibition must have been aimed at improper persons and not persons under military command.
