Philip Stephens. We received an order to pay off the Torbay. After Vice Admiral Shuldam has sent 300 of her Petty officers and Foremast men to Spithead to be disposed of as Sir Thomas Pye shall direct and completing the complement of the Vulcan, the remainder should be sent to the Duke to serve as part of that ship's complement. Ask for directions for Captain St. John of the Torbay to make out and send pay lists with the men intended to be sent to Spithead for payment of their wages.
