Description

Philip Stephens. The Agent to Thomas Louis has written asking to be paid for having acted as Lieutenant of the Bienfaisant, by order of Vice Admiral Lord Shuldham. The 1st Lieutenant of that ship is mustered sick from February to July 1777 and as he can only be allowed wages for 6 weeks from the time of going to sick quarters, Mr. Louis can be paid for the time he acted.
