Description

Philip Stephens. Lieutenant Jonathan Faulkner has sent orders received from Vice Admiral Sir James Douglas, to act as 4th Lieutenant of the Royal Oak and from Admiral Sir Thomas Pye to act as 5th Lieutenant of that ship. Asks to be paid for the time he acted. How he is borne on the books. As there appear to be no Lieutenants borne on the books of the Royal Oak between March 1777 and August 1778, he may be paid for that time.
