Philip Stephens. Mr. Warren, Naval Officer at Mahon, informs us that General Murray opines a greater guard than the watchmen, is necessary for the Naval yard. The guard is to do duty until Mr. Warren receives further directions, but allowance expenses for the guard must be defrayed by the Naval department, this service being different from the island duty. Ask whether, as we are at the expense of watchmen to guard the yard, new Naval expense should be incurred for the support of any additional guard the Governor may think necessary.
