Draft letter from the Poor Law Board to J and W Rees Mogg [John Rees Mogg and William Rees Mogg], Clerks to the Guardians of the Clutton Poor Law Union, acknowledging their letter dated 11 October 1853 relating to the appointment of Henry Stevens as schoolmaster at the workhouse. A form is enclosed for particulars of the appointment to be recorded, and a request for a copy of the minute and confirmation that an advertisement or notice was issued before making the appointment in accordance with the regulations.
