Folios 222-227. Letter from William Powell, Clerk to the Guardians of the Newport Pagnell Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Commission, enclosing papers relating to the sale of property in Walton parish consisting of answers to the Commission paper of enquiries, declaration of possessory title and a copy of the Charity Commission report. He requests that the usual order for sale is forwarded. Enclosed is Form A comprising answers to the Commission questions concerning the status of the property to be sold in the parish of Walton in the Newport Pagnell Poor Law Union. Declaration of Possessory Title made by William Sipthorp, Churchwarden of the parish of Walton, Buckinghamshire for the property to be sold comprising four cottages and a close of pasture land called Town Close, a parcel of pasture land of about three roods lying in a meadow called Great March Meadow or Bow Brickhill Meadow, two closes of arable land containing about seven acres and one rood called Trumpiton together with commons belonging to the parish of Walton. Report from the Charity Commission regarding the property to be sold. Annotated: with notes concerning the sale. Reference 2228/A/1840. Resolution consenting to sale. Issue order for sale. Dated 6 March 1840. Paper Number: 9508/A/1839.
