- Folio 428. 'Extension of vaccination' form from George Lucas, and James Robb, both Surgeons and Vaccinators of the Ilkestone District of the Basford Poor Law Union to the Poor Law Commission, giving details of number of cases vaccinated from his appointment to March 1841 and further details regarding vaccination practices in the union. They state that there is a prevalent notion being vaccinated by the public vaccinator reduces a person to the level of a pauper. There is a 'carelessness amongst many', which they say was not even checked by the recent epidemic of small pox. Poor Law Union Number 334. Counties: Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.
