- Folios 78-79. Teaching certificate from the Committee of the Council on Education awarded to Mrs Grace Halstead, Mistress of Kirkdale Industrial Union School based on the inspection by T B Browne, H M Inspector of Parochial Union Schools. The certificates show the board's estimate of the candidate's qualifications and the sums allowed from the Parliamentary Grant for teachers. Flyleaf to Mrs Grace Halstead headed 'XXII Kirkdale Industrial' stated that a higher certificate could not be awarded because of her deficiency in spelling and grammar. Annotated: send copy to Select Vestry and Inspector. Call attention of Select Vestry to the observations of the Council in the flyleaf of this certificate.
