- Folios 221-223. Letter from Hugh Rice and William Williams, Overseers of St Just in Roseland, Truro Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Commission, referring to their letter of 21 October 1841. They enclose a copy of the resolution passed at a vestry meeting, conforming to the Commission's instructions, to consent to the proceeds of the sale of the parish poor house being used by the Truro Union treasurer to liquidate a debt. They also enclose two notes of hand [not included]. The outstanding debt is £60 with interest and the sale of the poor house raised £45. They request directions from the Commission on what to do about the balance of £20. Sale of Property Form Liquidation of Debt: Notice of a meeting, to be held on 4 November 1841, to consent to the use of the proceeds of the sale of the parish poor house in St Just in Roseland, to liquidate a debt owed to Major Tweedy, William Rogers & Co., Bankers, Cornish Naval Bank, Falmouth, successors to Messrs Praed, Rogers etc. Signed by Thomas M Rogers and John B George, Churchwardens; Hugh Rice and William Williams, Overseers. Certificate of minister, churchwardens and overseers of the forms of the Act having been complied with, relating to a vestry meeting, in the parish of St Just in Roseland, in Truro Union and giving notice of the passing of a resolution. Signed by C W Carlyon, Minister, Thomas M Rogers and John B George, Churchwardens; Hugh Rice and William Williams, Overseers. Resolution of parish meeting consenting to discharge a debt, relating to a vestry meeting held in the parish of St Just in Roseland in Truro Union on 4 November 1841. They consent to the guardians of Truro Union using £45 raised from the sale of their poor house, being used to liquidate a debt of £60. Signed by C W Carlyon, Rector and Chairman, Thomas M Rogers and John B George, Churchwardens; Hugh Rice and William Williams, Overseers.
