Folios 32-33. Letter from James Greenwood, Robert Pickles and William Greenwood, Guardians, Haworth, Keighley Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Commission. As per the Commission circular and correspondence with George Spencer, Clerk to the Keighley Union, a ratepayers meeting has been held. A committee was established with the parish officers to regulate parish assessments according to the Parochial Assessments Act. A valuation was made 'sometime ago' which is considered satisfactory and so a new one is unnecessary. They ask if this meets with the Commission's approval.
