Folio 1: Copy of an instruction dated 1 November 1836 from W Burnett, Physician General of the Admiralty, requiring Surgeon Superintendents of convict ships to render a regular sick book and nosological synopsis with their journals, with a certificate from the Medical Storekeeper at Deptford as to the condition and number of their surgical instruments, to entitle them to received their pay.
