- Folio 26. Letter from Charles Hart, Clerk to the Liverpool Select Vestry, to the Poor Law Board. It refers to a report and plans previously sent to the Board; and confirms that proposed mills are to be separate for each person, including able-bodied women. Annotated: a note to Mr Farnall [H B Farnell, Poor Law Inspector] asking for his view of the employment of women at the mills. He notes that he has no objection; the mills are to be separate and he estimates the labour involved to be about the same as turning a mangle. Paper Number: 2867/1852.
