Draft letter from the Poor Law Board to James Robinson Tomlin, Clerk to the Guardians of the Reeth Poor Law Union, referring to a report from Edward Hurst [Norman Edward Hurst], Poor Law Inspector, which states that able-bodied vagrants are not set to work for the relief afforded them in accordance with 5& 6 Vic c 57 s 5. They suggest that this is considered by the guardians and a resolution passed. Paper Number: 10800/A/1858. Poor Law Union Number 555. Counties: Yorkshire North Riding.
