- Folios 321-322. Workhouse Inspection Report Form from Edward Hurst [Norman Edward Hurst], Poor Law Inspector, to the Poor Law Board, reporting his inspection of the Reeth Poor Law Union Workhouse on 26 March 1858; gives details of medical provision, management of the school, the vagrant wards, numbers of inmates. He states that the children are not making satisfactory progress at their current school. There are no arrangements for the vagrants to work. Annotated: write as suggested to the guardians as to setting to work able-bodied vagrants and send form. Paper Number: 10800/1858. Poor Law Union Number 555. Counties: Yorkshire North Riding.
