1 individual petition (prisoner) and 1 collective petition (4 people including prosecutor) on behalf of Thomas Foster convicted at the Old Bailey in December 1833 for housebreaking against William Keyser, [lime manufacturer]. Gaoler's report: character not known. Grounds for clemency; led into crime by ill health and poverty, suffering from lung complaint now in prison, another convict William Childs was the main participant in crime, information supplied by prisoner led to Childs being charged with earlier offences, previous good conduct in army. Initial sentence: death commuted to life transportation. Annotated: nil. AT 23
