1 individual petition (John Rich Rushton, curate and lecturer of Banbury) on behalf of Robert Colley and James Woodward convicted at the Oxfordshire Quarter Sessions at Banbury in April 1834 for stealing from a dwelling house. Grounds for clemency: truly repentant, not as depraved as most convicts who are sentenced to transportation, turned to religion in gaol. Initial sentence: life transportation. Gaoler's report: character bad, has been in prison before. Annotated: [pencil notes]. AT 7
