1 individual petition (Rebekah Charlson, prisoner's wife) on behalf of John Charlson convicted at the Lancashirer Lent Assizes at Lancaster in March 1834 for forging the will of John Clayton. Grounds for clemency; distress of wife and children. Initial sentence: death commuted to life transportation. Gaoler's report: character bad, has been tried for arson and acquitted. Annotated: nil.
